Welcome!

Hi, I’m Rochelle, an Alberta based artist focused on creating realism with coloured pencils.

My current inspirations include drawing animals, children (I have so so many photos of my own kids), and some pretty skyscapes (I love sunrises and sunsets). I am open to other subjects as well because every new drawing is an opportunity to learn and further develop my abilities.

I believe my drawings can provide a connection to the past while encouraging love, hope, and joy for the present and future. I’d love to help you celebrate and preserve memories of your beloved family members, pets, and special moments in your life.

MY SERVICES

My mission is to increase the positivity and joy in the world with every drawing I create.

As a coloured pencil artist, I offer commissions as well as originals and greeting cards to purchase.

Commissions are a great option if you want to preserve memories of special moments, your beloved family members and pets, or to commemorate a lost loved one. They can also make great gifts for others, including pet lovers.

Maybe you don’t have specific photos of your own, but you would like to purchase an original drawing for your wall that could brighten your day and bring a smile to your face. Or you might want some all-occasion or holiday cards to have on hand for those special moments. You can explore these on the Gallery and Shop pages.

Stubby

"I contacted Rochelle to do a piece of our family cat after he passed. I sent her a few photos of him and she got started. She kept me updated by sending me photos of her progress. A few weeks later, she sent me the finished product and asked if it was ok. O.K? It was unbelievable how much it looked like him. It was surreal! Her quality of work, price and quickness is incredible! I highly suggest Rochelle’s art work to anyone looking for a piece." Metieke (owner of Stubby)

Ruger

We recently had a portrait of our dog done by Rochelle. I cannot explain how amazing it is! It perfectly captures every feature of our dog, his personality, the sparkle in his eye. We could not be more impressed by her work and true artistic skill! I don’t know what I expected, but her work exceeded every single expectation imaginable! She was so easy to work with, frequently checked in that everything met our expectations and checked for feedback. I could not recommend her more! Brogan (owner of Ruger)

Harley

I commissioned 2 pieces from Rochelle as a present for my kids. From start to finish the process and communication with Rochelle was a breeze. She ensured I had just the right picture of our dog that she could recreate. The finished pieces were beyond what I could have imagined. She not only drew our dog perfectly but you can also feel his personality come to light in the drawings. The kids have said this is the best gift ever! Rochelle is not only an extremely gifted artist, she was a pleasure to work with-kind, professional and deeply passionate. I am so grateful to have discovered her work and I can’t recommend her highly enough! Terri (owner of Harley)

Original Drawings for Sale

Most of my drawings fit under the following three categories: animals, people and skyscapes. These can be great to decorate your family room, kids rooms, or give as a gift. You can visit the Gallery page to see the selection of drawings and the Shop page to see what is available for purchase.

Animals

I love seeing animals “come to life” on my drawing board. It’s as if they’re temporarily part of my family and I feel such joy seeing them on my easel.

People

Photos of my children inspire many of my drawings. In addition to preserving some of my own memories, I hope my drawings can help others relate to moments with their own children and grandchildren.

Sky Scapes

Sunrises and sunsets are one of my favourite things to see. Early morning bike rides and evening walks provide inspiration for these drawings.
